Illustration Friday: Chair

These are pics of a rocking chair I painted a couple of years ago for The Maine Discovery Museum in an auction/ benefit they were doing. It has a happy home now. Features all kinds of my animals and goes from water to land to sky.

great colours. I like the animals moving in a circle...a great concept since we're all interconnected.

good stuff.

Wonderful chair. I too love the animals going in a circle! And the green main colour - I need to make something that colour soon - for spring!

I used acrylic paint on this chair and gave it several coats of a water-based varnish. I don't know if that's the best paint, but it works fine. Of course the chair was primed with gesso first.
